Easy Going NairobiWe'll get your Kenya adventure off to a smooth start by arranging your airport transfer and your first couple of nights' accommodation. This ensures that you'll be met by a friendly face at the airport to whisk you away to your Nairobi accommodation. On arrival at the airport, our driver will pick you up and take you on the twenty minute drive your cosy, centrally located hotel. You can either choose to stay at a comfortable mid-class hotel or at a more luxurious type of Nairobi accommodation.Nairobi isn't considered to be one of the most appealing cities in Africa. However, it's best to spend a night here after a long flight from the UK before travelling on the following morning. Most of the inhabitants of Nairobi are very friendly and accommodating, however for your own safety we recommend you avoid walking around at night and instead take a taxi cab after sunset. |

Peaceful Nairobi - Comfortable mid-class hotelJust outside of the hectic city centre, we've found a small-scale and peaceful hotel for you. It's approximately twenty minutes away from the airport. The hotel has recently been renovated and you can expect a warm welcomes and large smiles from the hotel's friendly staff. There's a friendly bar and restaurant at this Nairobi accommodation, where you can order a bite to eat any time of day. The menu features something for everyone, from ostrich steak and tiger prawns to vegetarian meals. You can even drink your first African beer, a Tusker, on the porch before heading to bed for a deep and peaceful sleep. If you like to wake up in the morning with a swim, there's a hotel swimming pool where you can splash around before or after breakfast. The suburb is supposedly named after Karen Blixen, the writer of the popular novel Out of Africa, who lived here early in the 19th century. This is a great place to get away from the busy city streets of Nairobi. The tropical gardens, swimming pool and attentive service will make your stay here a pleasant one. The small-scale guest house has 5 nicely decorated rooms equipped with all the facilities you may need during your stay. In the afternoon you can visit local attractions such as the Karen Blixen Museum or the Untamaduni Trade Centre. We also recommend visiting the Giraffe Centre, which is within walking distance from your accommodation.
